This is a traditional Scottish public house bursting with character and located on Edinburgh’s most famous street – The Royal Mile. A pub to call home; the bar caters mainly to tourists and backpackers, although it also has a core following of local regulars. Ideal for tourists looking to experience a taste of Edinburgh, The Royal Mile Tavern is in close proximity to many large hotels and backpacker hostels. With south-facing tables on the historic Royal Mile, it is a popular spot to sit and people watch. Inside, visitors are instantly relaxed by the cosy atmosphere and wonderful aroma of the traditional Scottish food which is all lovingly prepared fresh on the premises and served every day until 9:00pm. Children are welcome for food until 8:00pm.

The Royal Mile Tavern has an extensive menu of over 100 whiskies and several local cask ales on rotation. The food and drink offering combined with live music every night of the week makes it the ideal place to soak up some local culture and enjoy a wonderful evening.

The Royal Mile Tavern is open until 1am every night, except during festive periods whereby the license is extended until 3am.
